ANTIQUE WAX
Merkelbach "Turpentine wax" is a traditional, authentic antique wax.The basic formula dates back to Amsterdam, around 1890. But we admit that is has improved since then.
Today the Merkelbach Turpentine wax is made using beeswax from the Dutch Lowlands, bleached carnauba wax and additions of other specific waxes selected for each application. We use real Portuge Turpentine Gum in permitted complemented with modern safe solvents. The turpentine ensures a high penetration capacity in wood. It also protects against fungi, insects and woodworm.
Our wax is safe and produced in an ecologically responsible manner. The wax does not contain silicone, is non-sticky and non-yellowing.
According to National Conservation Specialists the Merkelbach Turpentine wax is the preferred product for the maintenance of valuable wooden furniture and flooring.
